Two Birds Code (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the TBC Community App. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

Account Information

When you create an account or log in, we collect:

Profile Information

You may optionally provide:

  • Profile photo and cover image

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

  • Fluent Community (server backend) — All app functionality
  • Pusher — Real-time chat and messaging (receives user ID and auth token)
  • GIPHY — GIF search in posts and messages (receives search queries)
  • Expo (EAS) — Push notifications and over-the-air updates (receives push token and device platform)
  • Firebase — Cloud messaging infrastructure

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers.

Data Storage & Security

  • Authentication tokens are stored in encrypted device storage (OS-level encryption)
  • All network communication uses HTTPS
  • Session tokens expire automatically and are revoked on logout
  • All cached app data is cleared when you log out

Your Choices

  • Push Notifications: Enable or disable in app settings or device settings
  • Email Notifications: Configure frequency (disabled, hourly, daily, weekly) within the app
  • Profile Information: Edit or remove optional profile info at any time
  • Account Deactivation: Deactivate your account (reversible) from within the app
  • Account Deletion: Permanently delete your account and all associated data from within the app

Device Permissions

The app may request the following optional permissions:

  • Camera — To take photos for posts or your profile
  • Photo Library (read) — To select images for posts, messages, or your profile
  • Photo Library (write) — To save images from the app to your device
  • Push Notifications — To receive community notifications

Children’s Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the app or on our website and are effective when posted.
