Looking around

Hello i AM new here. Happy thar found this! Will we be able to have a store on the app with fluent cart?

Also interested in fluent cart integration inside fluent community. does it work now... or maybe Apple wouldn't approve any app that does not use their AIP ? thanks

Yes you can absolutely run a store through the app. Your best bet is WebView — basically a window inside the app that loads a page from your WordPress site. The user stays in the app the whole time, but they're interacting with your actual site (FluentCart, checkout, account pages, whatever). So you just point a custom menu item at your shop page and the whole checkout runs through your site like normal. You can add as many custom menus as you want. Attaching a couple screenshots showing it set up in our TBC Community App.

Apple does get picky on payments, but the rule is narrower than it sounds. WebView checkout is fine for physical goods, real-world services, event tickets, and donations — that's why Amazon, DoorDash, Uber etc. all process payments outside IAP. Apple only requires in-app purchase for digital content or services consumed inside the app (unlocking premium features, in-app credits, subs to digital content). So for most FluentCart stores you're good to go through WebView.

The app is also set up to support user-created modules, so if someone ever needed true IAP they could build that in — probably not something we'd do ourselves, but the door's open. Apple takes 30% on IAP though (15% under their Small Business Program if you're under $1M/year, and 15% on sub renewals after year 1). Way more than just running your existing FluentCart checkout through a WebView.
