Two Birds vs Lazy Coders
Brand new here.
Started with Circle, then BuddyBoss and rejoiced when Fluent Community arrived.
Been looking at Appza from Lazy Coders for my Fluent Community. It looks promising but still waiting on the release. Today someone mentioned Two Birds. And...this also looks pretty cool.
Trying to sort out what software I need to purchase here. Like what is the core software you purchase? Or if there's documentation I'm missing please fill me in.
Excited to try this out. Just need to be pointed in the right direction.
Hey Kyler — welcome.
Simple answer: just the dev bundle. That's the core product and it includes everything most folks coming from Circle / BuddyBoss / Fluent are looking for — full native iOS + Android app (one codebase, both platforms), Fluent Community posts/reactions/profiles/spaces (groups), Courses, Push Notifications. Messaging works too — just needs Fluent's Messaging plugin on the WordPress side.
Documentation ships inside the bundle: a setup/setup-guide.html walkthrough with screenshots, plus a browser-based dashboard (npm run dashboard) that handles all the configuration, builds, App Store submissions, and OTA updates. Most buyers live in the dashboard.
Biggest difference from Lazy Coders / SaaS options: with the dev bundle you publish to your own Apple and Google accounts and own the whole thing — source code, store listings, the lot. If we vanish tomorrow you still have a working app.
We do plan to open up more managed offerings down the road, but right now we're focused on the handful of managed clients we already have. So for now the dev bundle is the path for anyone wanting to take control of their own app.
